❤ Recycling Soda Cans
I had a director's event to attend recently and decided I wanted to roller set my hair but didn't want to visit the hair stylist (those that know me know I have have not gone to a hairstylist for over 6 years) so while thinking about how I am gonna take on such a job of getting my super curly, long hair to lay straight I immediately remembered Ashanti's 2008 “Good Good” video; in it she sported empty beer cans as rollers. The objective must have been when hair is blow dried the cans will get heated.
I am also not a roller fanatic so I don't even own one hair roller (no i'm not ashamed either :)
The steps are pretty simple, I ensured the empty cans were thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, then I simply sectioned of my hair and wrapped it around the soda can, just as you would a hair roller. I then secured my hair with bobby pins. Please ensure your hair is wet/damp before applying heat, using heat on dry hair isn't a fabulous idea.
My hair curled beautifully and I was simply ecstatic just by knowing I was able to recycle a few empty cans. Try it and let us know what you think of your curls.
